persentation

This blog is dedicated to a very special and intelligent person that is called STEPHEN HAWKING.
He was born in 1942 in Britain. His second name is William. He has two younger sisters and an adopted brother.
In 1950, Hawking and his family moved to St Albans in Hertfordshire where, from the age of 11, he attented St Albans School.
He was always interested in science. He enrolled at University , Oxford with the intent of studying mathemathics, after the first year was persuased by his father to swich to physics. After receiving his B.A.degree al Oxford University 1962, he stayed to study astronomy, deciding to leave when he found that studying sunspots didn't appeal to him and that he was more interested in theory than in observation.

Almost as soon as he arrived at Cambridge, he started developing symptoms of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, a type of motor neuron disease which would cost him the loss of almost all neuromuscular control. one of his colleages at cambridge was Martin rees.

At the celebration of his 65th brithday on January 8, 2007, Hawking announced he plans for a zero-gravity flight in 2007 to prepare for a suborbital space flight in 2009 on virgin Galactic´s space service.

Stephen hawkings zero gravity flight On the 27th of april Stephen Hawkings got one step closer to his number one goal which is to travel in space. He went on a all expensises paid, by virgen airlines, zero gravity flight.

He got to come out of his wheelchair for the first time in years, which he enjoied very much. The two- hour flight over the Atlantic took a series of dramatic dives, allowing the professor to experience 25- second spurts of weightlessness.

During the flight, hawkings aides lifted him out of his wheelchair and placed him gently on the floor of the plane during the sharply angled climb into the sky, in preparation for the first plunge. He has a reservation for a sub- orbital flight with sir Richard Branson's virgin galactic venture, scheduled to begin service in 2009.

Virgen galactic will own and operate at least 5 spaceships and 2 mother ships costing 100000 pounds to carry apassenger at a hight of 140km.

the big bang

If the general relativity was correct, the universe would begin with a infinity temperature and density in the singularity of the great initial explosion. As the universe was expanding, the temperature of radiation was diminishing. During the first three minutes, as the universe was cooling up to billion degrees, the protons and neutrons would have started combining, forming cores of helium, hydrogen and other elements. Hundreds of thousands of years later, when the temperature had fallen to a few thousands of degrees, the electrons would have been stopped sufficiently to be able to be captured by the light nucleuses and to form atoms.

NATURE OF THE DARK MATTER

The cosmologists create at the moment that while the central part of the galaxies are formed basically by ordinary matter, their outer regions are formed by matter that we can´t observe directly.

But one of the fundamental problems now is to discover the nature of dark matter in these outer regions.

Before the decade of the 80s it was accustomed to suppositions that this dark matter is the region of ordinary matter composed by protons, neutrons and in some form not easily detectable perhaps, as gas clouds or MACHOs- massive compact halo objects.

Nevertheless, recent studies of formacion of the galaxies make believe to the cosmologist that one part significant of the dark matter must be formed in a form different from the ordinary matter. Arises from the mass of partcules elementary very light, like the axions or the neutrinos. Can to even consist of exticas species of partculas, like the WIMPs- weakly interacting massive particles, predicted by elementary the modern teories of partculas but that has not been detected experimentally.

Ordinary matter, the material of which we and the stars are made, makes up only 5% of the mass of the universe. Another 25% of the mass of the universe is in the form of dark matter, matter we can't see but whose presence we can detect by its gravity. But it seems that 70% of the universe is in the form of what is called dark energy. A mysterious kind of matter which causes the expension of the universe to speed up.

will be our like star trek and what will be our final?

This sciencist every day is doing studies and experiencies and one of this of the 17th November 2001 says:
"The human beings is condemned to dissapear before the millenium ends." According to the British astronomer, it will be a virus and not an atomic bomb what will finish with the humans of the Earth. The sciencist offers a solution: the establishment of colonies in the space. In an interview he declares " to be more worried, long-term, for the biology "That for the nuclear weapon.
This a nuclear weapon on ipunkrock.com/diario/post/137/1856
" The danger is that, accidentaly or voluntarily, one believes a virus that it should destroy " to the human race, makes clear Hawking, teacher of Mathematics in the University of Cambridge.
" I do not believe that the man survives next 1.000 years until it disperses in the space ", assures the scientist. " Too many accidents can destroy the life in the only planet ", it continues Hawking, who adds; " But I am optimistic, we will go to the stars .
The motive of which the series star trek is so popular is that it presents a sure and recomforting vision of the future.
I am an estusiasta of this series, for which it turned out to be an easy persudirme to taking part in an episode in which I was playing to poker with Newton, Einstein and the Commander Dates back. I won all but, unfortunately, there was a red alert and I could not gather what had won.
Star trek proves to be a society very advanced with regard to ours in science, technology and political organization. In the time that goes from now till then there must have been big changes, but it is supposed that, in the period showed in ela series, the science, the technology and the organization of the society have reached a level close to the perfection
I want to question this image and to wonder if the science and the technology will manage to reach a final stationary condition. In ten thousand years passed from the last glaciation, in any moment the human species has been situated in a condition of conociemiento constant and technology fixes.
