This blog is dedicated to a very special and intelligent person that is called STEPHEN HAWKING.
He was born in 1942 in Britain. His second name is William. He has two younger sisters and an adopted brother.
In 1950, Hawking and his family moved to St Albans in Hertfordshire where, from the age of 11, he attented St Albans School.
He was always interested in science. He enrolled at University , Oxford with the intent of studying mathemathics, after the first year was persuased by his father to swich to physics. After receiving his B.A.degree al Oxford University 1962, he stayed to study astronomy, deciding to leave when he found that studying sunspots didn't appeal to him and that he was more interested in theory than in observation.
Almost as soon as he arrived at Cambridge, he started developing symptoms of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, a type of motor neuron disease which would cost him the loss of almost all neuromuscular control. one of his colleages at cambridge was Martin rees.
At the celebration of his 65th brithday on January 8, 2007, Hawking announced he plans for a zero-gravity flight in 2007 to prepare for a suborbital space flight in 2009 on virgin Galactic´s space service.
Stephen hawkings zero gravity flight On the 27th of april Stephen Hawkings got one step closer to his number one goal which is to travel in space. He went on a all expensises paid, by virgen airlines, zero gravity flight.
He got to come out of his wheelchair for the first time in years, which he enjoied very much. The two- hour flight over the Atlantic took a series of dramatic dives, allowing the professor to experience 25- second spurts of weightlessness.
During the flight, hawkings aides lifted him out of his wheelchair and placed him gently on the floor of the plane during the sharply angled climb into the sky, in preparation for the first plunge. He has a reservation for a sub- orbital flight with sir Richard Branson's virgin galactic venture, scheduled to begin service in 2009.
Virgen galactic will own and operate at least 5 spaceships and 2 mother ships costing 100000 pounds to carry apassenger at a hight of 140km.
